Au Cap citizens join forces to combat crime

The Au Cap district has set up its own anti-crime group as a means of trying to reduce crimes in the district and making sure people in the neighbourhood feel safe.
Groups of people in the district have come together to discuss ways in which each individual can help each other from the surge in crimes. After seeing what people are capable of, such as attacking someone at an ATM, or waiting for someone to step out of their front door to illegally access his/her house, people have started being on the alert for the next potential crime.
The main way of preventing a crime is by making sure that it does not happen in the first place. Through this manner of thought, a group of people living in the district of Au Cap have created a group whereby each individual can put their point across or inform others of the dangers that may occur.
If a crime is taking place, the best thing to do would be to call the police and inform them of what the situation is. However if such a defensive system has been set in place such as the one in Au Cap, this would lead to a faster reaction time. People may be able to help those who are in need, or contact the police and inform them on each detail of the crime. In this way, tragedies such as deaths or injuries won’t occur or be less likely to occur.
Some houses across Seychelles have even taken the liberty of adding extra security to protect their homes from such situations, which keeps your home safe, but with this type of strategy, if all else fails, you have neighbours who are capable of helping immediately.
This not only protects your home, but also creates a good relationship between neighbours.
