Athletics: MCB Eco-Friendly Run - Huge turnout champion a good cause

The Perseverance district was busier than usual on Saturday afternoon as a huge crowd of athletes of different ages gathered to take part in the Eco-Friendly run to raise funds towards a project which will benefit the youth of the district.
Jointly hosted by the Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) Seychelles branch and the Seychelles Eco-friendly committee, the event was to raise funds to build a new playground for the district’s North region primary school.

Second event attracts more young athletes
The second competition in the Special Event series hosted by the Seychelles Athletics Federation (SAF) took place on Saturday at Stad Popiler and like the first event, Saturday’s season opener attracted a big group of athletes who took part in eight events.
