Port entry conditions imposed by US coastguards will not affect Seychelles, says SPA chairman

Following an article which has been circulating on social media platforms which states that the United States Coast Guard (USCG) is to impose conditions of entry on vessels arriving in US waters from the Republic of Seychelles, the Seychelles Ports Authority yesterday clarified the situation.
Seychelles Ports Authority (SPA) chairman Paul Hodoul has reassured the population noting that there should not be any reason to be alarmed as the conditions imposed will have no effect on Seychelles or the operations of the port since there are no vessels that pass through Seychelles and then make the journey to US territory.
