Murder 11-6-2014
Killed for protecting his baby brother

24 year-old Ryan Gray, a young British musician of Seychellois origin, died on Sunday after being stabbed four days earlier on a north London street in broad daylight, less than a mile from his home.

A senseless murder. This is the sentiment pervading the Gray and Louis-Marie household in Islington since the eldest in a family of four children, died on Monday.

Musician Ryan Gray, who performed under the name Reckz was very close to his brothers Jermaine and twins Tervin and Terrence. When one of the twins complained to his big brother that a group of boys had been harassing him, Ryan thought he would help put an end to a silly teenage skirmish that had been going on for a while.

So, about three weeks ago, his grand-uncle Sam Rignace, a former international cyclist told TODAY, he went to speak to the group of boys who were bullying his little brother.

Except that it seems, the boys - it is believed that there were seven of them – did not take kindly to the rebuke. Ryan’s family believes that for the next three weeks, the teenagers followed Ryan and waited for the right moment to strike back. They found their moment last Wednesday and stabbed Ryan seven times, less than a mile from Ryan’s home in Islington, North London.

According to the newspaper the Evening Standard, a police spokesman confirmed that, “police were called by London Ambulance Service to Horsell Road, N5 at around 2.30pm on Wednesday, 4 June, after a 24-year-old man was found with stab wounds. The man was taken by London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital. He died at hospital on Sunday.”

A 17 year-old teenager – who cannot be named because he is a minor – was arrested on the same day. He appeared before the Crown Court on Monday to face a new charge. He was initially charged with attempted murder but the charge has now been changed to murder as Mr Gray succumbed to his wounds on Sunday.

Family members told TODAY that the London police has said that there is a possibility that two other teenagers involved in the fatal stabbing would surrender. Meanwhile the police have asked to speak to members of the distraught family, to find out more about the identities of the teenagers who stabbed Mr Gray as well as to the reasons behind the bad blood.

The murder weapon – a knife – was also recovered yesterday in a neighbour’s backyard, family sources told TODAY.

24 year-old Ryan Gray was born to a Seychellois father and a British mother but had never set foot in Seychelles. Former international cyclist Sam Rignace is the brother of Ryan’s paternal grandmother, Julienne Louis-Marie, nee Rignace. Ms Rignace left Seychelles when she was 18 and Ryan’s father, Dan, who was her only son at the time followed her over when he was about 11 years-old. “He has since, only been back twice but I go to visit them every year”, Sam Rignace told TODAY.

Of all his brothers and sisters, Mr Rignace is closest to sister Julienne. Alison is Dan’s wife and Ryan’s mother. According to Sam Rignace who is due to travel to London soon to go and lend some moral support to his sister and her family, Alison is shell shocked at the news of her eldest child’s death and hasn’t said much. Father Dan spends his time at his son’s flat, doing his utmost to soothe Ryan’s partner and the couple’s two year-old son. Ryan Gray’s partner is expecting their second child soon. Mr Gray also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
According to the Evening Standard, Mr Gray’s distraught relatives gathered at the family home on Sunday night “as friends left flowers and cards in Horsell Road, the scene of the stabbing at 2.30pm on Wednesday”.

It could be weeks before the police releases Ryan Grays’s body to the family for the burial because of the ongoing police investigation, family members told TODAY.

Comment- Good Morning the Gray and Louis-Marie Family, Seychellois community in Islington - In the first place our Condolence to you the grieving Families and Friends.

Given that we have certain High responsibilities required to make this statement. Everybody knows the police resource is stretch and as such the situation and left to the goodwill of Families and individuals to be on their guards and keep/make their communities and Homes safe.  In Saying this for the past 30 years have been implicated in very many positive and negative inter Communities and Racist issues - be they Grass Roots or Ethnic or Exile/refugee related as such the experience and knowledge.

Among the event and development in London is the Case of Steven Laurence - the politicians , media and police ought o know.

Indeed a very long list just shortly after we had come to reside in Islington a Young Seychellois Carpenter/DJ was killed by a car in Barking, the respective Families, inquest and issues - Insurance. How our community felt and reacted.

There is a good deal the media have not reported about the death in North London three years ago and the Riot/Fire  and associated destruction -  Court Cases and media coverage.

Last week when this incident took place in Sechelles Seychelles they were marking the 50th Anniversary of SPUP/SPPF/PL, the various events and on the Streets of Islington the buzz/issues - very positive and negative my person directly experienced. If fact we had been at the Islington Law Center and for the first time in several months had gone inside the polish church to pray. We had visited two close Families one in Islington and discussed, shared Family and community issues. Be they Seychellois, Illois or Mauritius Families - young adults are not daft or ignorant anymore of the greater and complex function of the world and society - the darker and evil side.

Every Community Leaders, Minders and respectable parents duty is to know and be very aware of issues, events and incidents which can lend and contribute to " derrapage/aggravations - Islington have seen a number of issues and the very church across my Flat the many funerals. We/I have talked with the local priests and the Older person. {"We need to stress and underline - Society practice - be they a great given events they must take the life of somebody directly in that Circle or Community or group of people - many Families will disagree and hold the view we ought keep the discussion clean and calm- we have worked for nears 35 years with Intelligence Service, Police, Judiciary, NGO, the UN, the church other important institutions managing and monitoring some of these issues when they go very wrong as such our knowledge and experience. It must not be a directly related issues that can cause and bring the death /killing of somebody - we study and have worked those issues for the past 35 years. Those of our communities in Britain if they are honest and go to pray/talk to their church Minister in confession or private their views and the views of the community - we need to leave no stone unturn to study this incident - so that the community can get back on a healthy footing and the Families, Friends and children affected, neighbors can learn to understand. " If the policing authorities study and search Facebook they will note the issues of killing in Seychelles and abroad the manner these are done and have been done in relation to the Seychelles government/SPPF/SPUP/PL over the years - this practice is not alien or new to us - we, the Families the individuals affected need to know - of the issues, the relate to this 5th June Zom Libre monument being moved in the Garden of Masion du Peuple, the new and related dynamic/synergy and what it is impacting and affection the many comments be in Seychelles, Britain, France, EU and Elsewhere.  This is and from part of the highly corrupted system and working of the Seychelles government and its people. As we write the delegation of commonwealth Human Rights and these two young person Rights - the Judiciary, the police and lawyers in Seychelles are very aware of this issues/practice. Even if the British authorities refuse to take not we/our community as most of the communities in this country must take due not and the Laws and Courts - my/our Lawyer Hopkin, Murray,  Beskin - and leading barrister Mr Ben Chataway have shared some of the issues in private and writing - he is today a Judge and works for a leading Chamber. Having said what we have - we have stressed to the many families and individuals we have known over the past 30 - be very careful and mindful on such dates, occasion and events - double your guards, take every precautions. We have no intention of adding grief to the respective  Families - as a Leader of our Community  and what it takes to build and maintain the many community fabric in this country, time love and devotion judge duty to share this knowledge and experience so that the new and future generation may learn and come to grip with such issues and incidents.

We will be covering this on our Community forums.

You affected, the families need to inform the Oppositions, the Police authority in Seychelles and the High Commission - beside the media - sharing your respective views and knowledge/concern.  "}

Once again our Community very deep collective condolence and sympathy to the grieving families, their friends and love ones affected.

We have seen some of the errors in the above post - we have gone out of our way to help and instead the thank want we are getting

Friends - People given the corrupted media of this country, its politicians in spite of the forest of special media - those being very unfriendly - we could and should have taken many to the Carpet proper we did not - however we want to ask how many pf you have worked with Arsenal, Team, Managers and purchase for the past 15 years, how many have contributed to a complete Church being bought and turned into flats, Clerkenwell count court, refurbishment of several Universities, rebuilding of the complete old and new Housing infrastructure and that super project at the planning state - the Development of Kings Cross basin and the Kings Cross International passenger terminal. Those in this country they deem and judge only they have education only they have the rights to build society - Our French ancestors came from France and brought Christianity to Britain - the original Illuminati, Templars, beside the Druides were from the Continent and we represent one of them and some of its associated interests. As such our Rights.

Having addressed the comments and thread/issues - we do not know the impact of that "Zomme Libre" new and old Monument at Maison du Peuple impact be it in Canada, Quebec, USA, those individual of Seychelles who live, work or married into Latin american communities, Europe, South Africa, Australia, Asia/Far East, New Zealand - eventually Russia and China. The Sechelles Seychelles - Seychellois they have a big communication problem - they think they communicate - what they communicate, in spite of having travel, embraced other cultures, societies and way of life. To rely on the organ of the SPUP/SPPF/PL would be lunacy. In a week or two they will be unveiling a new National Monument in the place were that "zomme Libre used to be what madness they would have concocted in the name of Seychelles People/Nation - most important the killing/death that will have to take place - we want to ask the many of you politely who care one iota about that land - we need to take such issues seriously - because if we do not then we will start descending very fast into a rod of no return - our Communities hold/have the capacity to react - having said we contributed important that that original gulf War started - when those realize that the SPPF/SPUP/PL are operating as back in the old days when people just drop like flies and the blasted lies of the TV and Radio and the church - then other have to take action and react. Current in the world there is a very great deal of mess - people do not just react or counter react - they study many issues and impacts. We have gone out of our way and practice great self refrain and to be rewarded with what. Hence we ask the diplomatic Community in Seychelles and your respective governments to help us - our Community in Exile and our diaspora with this issues - by the way we know those of you who watch the Internet news and may listen to the Radio about the many death and dying in Seychelles it is very abnormal. The Church and the christian community being very dishonest and the NGO with it/them.

Post  Sirop14 on Fri Jun 13, 2014 8:47 am

We have lost a couple of our Facebook posts - lost track. The one about Zomme Libre, the Zanzibar Revolution and the Sultanate - countless times have stated that SIROP program was initiated by the exile as against a UN led Program and the big difference in approach, development and implementation - monitoring - underpinning it. We have explained why we had refused to go to the UN - then UN terrible Benchmark Cold War 1980's. Anybody or Group who wish to change their country and society had/ought o know very well the workings of UN otherwise they would be dumb/stupid to try. A UN led/initiated program would get/receive all the limelight they deem justify and the media coverage - their view of media coverage and their prospective. We/I had been aware of those issues hence the Minitel/WWW/CERN debacle - today the great UN have the use of the WWW and it was not their invention - we also knew what system they had then. In those days the word road map did not come as often in diplomatic language - there were other terminology of preference. Among them what can be done and not. We drew and mapped out our list of what was doable and not too. We had drawn a list of our opponents - meaning countries that were strong supporter of Communism - extreme socialist Values, how we were to work and influence or counter influence their issues - It is/would have been very well and acceptable if that was the UN for a group of exile/Refugee form a Small Island nation that would/is unthinkable. Beside then London/Britain, Commonwealth workings - How things were worked/done. Having said that a number of important personalities and Individuals helped us/contributed from East Africa and Zanzibar - we could not just go about as some do write our heads off about everything - it just does not work that way. A very great deal is done in clandestine, underground, unreported and unrecorded and the manner, instruments and discipline involved. " You just do not get up one morning and write to the/then Tanzanian People, it Army and many connection we are starting a War on you because you support Seychelles and the workings issues - those who hold this daft view." To change that Sechelles Seychelles - one of our important opponent was Tanzania, its people and President Julius Nyerere. Many of our exile had had brief encounter with him and his system - there are issues to this day we still cannot write or discuss in public - as opposed those who had wanted a Military change in Seychelles, they would /we would have had to confront then OAU Institutions and Tanzania was a leading player - nation form the socialist/communist Block. In Exile they used their resource to watch and monitor our activities. The decision to contribute help change the core of the Communist/ COMECON, Warsaw Pact and the USSR - Regional and global Communist/socialist workings - became our priority - having talk fo UN Road Map - had we gone to the UN and said we want to help/contribute to change the COMECON, the USSR and the Warsaw pact they would have said lock all those mad /demented Seychellois. For that matter the Commonwealth. Having said Tanzania and it Institutions monitored closely our exile/refugee activities - among those individual we had to communicate, share and present some of the issues of that SIROP program was then former President Julius Nyerere - the current President we knew his view. For Africa and East Africa the Politic and greater political line of Tanzania and the OAU was laid/marked and set our by President Nyerere - leave the world aside, the regional nations of the Indian Ocean - you the Seychelleois do you know understand what this imply - our job was to formulate counter concept that would change and influence his decision and many years of very hard work and blood. Among those individuals Lady Thatcher was very aware and in the know and her Officials and the manner they choose to handle and manage those issues. Our argument if we had been able to change some of the great nations of the COMECON and their resource was significant by country - resource we mean everything. Then Tanzania ought to be a great deal simpler - as such and from this point we departed - why we are addressing this issues her is the Seychelles Military today, past and future and its Officers - do they know and understand what we have just said and written. As a Small Nation the current government boast/beat their chest how good and able they are - we want/ask all the Officer of the Seychelles Armed Force get around a Table and consider/think very hard what we have written - we are open to providing more information - written/in writing. Now those of our country man who hold the view that Zomme Libre is the ultimate Monument sine of our National Liberation - they need to think. President FA Rene, then Government and Minister James Michel were aware and knew of those issues and over the past 23 years the gross lies, deception and cover up. Hence they had refused to have a National review of that SIROP program we would have insisted that such topic get covered and written down. When the changes were taking place for many who had refused to think/use their grey matter - what was to come, the implications. The implication how would they explain what happen and what really took place. One of the biggest sinner/ guilty party is our very Opposition and the Exile/Refugees - they had know and been aware of the issues and yet when they got back and multiparty came and press freedom came the way they comported and what they wrote. To all the guilty parties - the situation and killing we have been experiencing be they on the streets of London and elsewhere is a results of your lies/cover-up - we know of other ethnic communities in Britain their war and country change - how it is managed and what is written. The Seychelles Community in Britain what has/have been written and the manner these issues are handled and managed. In South Africa, then Mr Nelson Mandela, then Olivier Tambo, Mr Walter Sisulu and many other knew and had to know of the issues - including Mrs Winnie Mandela. Suddenly all this have changed and is changing - everybody writing and reinventing their version and glorification - these are very if not highly dangerous roads. President Qaddafi knew a very great deal of those issues, the late President Leopold Sengor knew a very great deal and Dr Karume himself - beside a few others.

On Drayton Park Rd lower - the book binders shop, where many years ago we needed to edit that Report for our community with the contribution of Chief Justice Souyave Family was given some financial help to pay for a person to edit this report - those who gave us the contact - this young person had a flat on Caledonian Rd - had been working for the new media of Kings Cross Development - the new Grant of £42 millions to attract development, our role - her real Father had worked for the Ford Foundation - given her strong knowledge and rapport to the socialist /Labour party, time and time had tried to get my person to go and settle in Thailand/ Sri Lanks or Portugal. Most important just down the road is the former Datasync Computer shop/internet and repair next to the bicycle shop, the many small business and merchant, the Irish Accountant we have used - main owners Egyptians and they knew the Al Fayad, their Head Grafick a Portuguese person decided to help rework some of that Grafick and Coat of arms of our Seychelles EU community and the two poster size print we made the the Islington business Center. Beside the Islington Resource Center and the SDA church and the Old Scout building - we have contributed importantly to the rebuilding of that road - the many new buildings. Beside the Community Resource center - the old Fire brigade off Seven Sisters Rd the many instance we have asked and invited members of our community to meet us there and use their resources. The Greek Community. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5509906,-0.1085416,17z

Given - that several individuals from our Community and the Families affected, friends and acquaintance reading/studying the issues - On the 5th that morning had had cafe and something to eat at a small place across the Powell's Mrs Mary Powells former Islington Liberal Office and the Duke of Cambridge - we had taken a road which took us at the back of the play ground of Islington Academy - New Campus - one of the boys decided purposely to kick the ball on the road and they have high Fence - I picked the ball and throw it back at them - I knew of the issues of the 5th June it had been all over/round the place and they made some strange remark - I/we retorted did/do they know of Arsenal - we have been contributing to the issues and it Boss Mr Arsen Wanger for the past 15 years and they still went on - round the corner had met and talked to a handicap Teacher who works at the Campus and we talked about cars for a few minutes then she went through the Gate. For reason this is an Education Institutions and they were Minor will not add any pictures safe a football.
