By releasing a statement on State House's website gives credibility to this article.

President Danny Faure has refuted the claim made by digital media company Forbesranks that he is the richest person in Seychelles.
The claim has been circulating on social media following an article published under the headline ‘Breaking news: Forbes releases Top 5 richest people in Seychelles 2018’ on the website forbesranks.com.
Forbesranks is not affiliated with global media company Forbes. Forbesranks create their lists based on opinions and crowd sourced rankings, and have no factual basis.
President Faure has stated that the information in the article is without foundation, and described the opinion-based ranking as malicious.
