Planting trees near wetlands brings a lot of benefits to communities and to the surrounding ecosystem. Apart from protecting water sources, trees provide shade, food and shelter for various life forms. Choosing the right trees to plant can help enrich the wetland ecosystem and bring ample benefits to the wildlife that lives within, and thus enhance the economic benefits associated with a healthy wetland.
