Le vicaire apostolique de Rodrigues, Mgr Alain Harel, nommé évêque des Seychelles
La nouvelle est tombée en ce début d’après-midi. Mgr Alain Harel, vicaire apostolique de Rodrigues, a été nommé évêque des Seychelles. Cette nomination est annoncée à Rodrigues par le truchement d’un point de presse convoqué en toute urgence à Port-Mathurin.

Il succède à Mgr Denis Wiehé, de nationalité mauricienne, en poste aux Seychelles et qui avait soumis sa demande à la retraite presque au même moment que le cardinal Maurice Piat.
