(Seychelles News Agency) - The Seychelles islands woke up Friday to the news that the island nation's first Anglican priest and bishop, Archbishop Emeritus French Chang Him, had passed away. Chang Him was 85 years old.

Les funérailles de l’Archevêque Emérite French Chang-Him, décédé le vendredi 26 mai 2023 à l'hôpital des Seychelles, se sont déroulées, hier, à la Cathédrale St Paul avec tous les honneurs. Il a aussi reçu des funérailles d’Etat.

La cérémonie s’est déroulée en la présence du Président Wavel Ramkalawan, les ministres, plusieurs membres de l’église Anglicane, de l’église Catholique, d’autres dénominations religieuses, des associations et des différentes couches de la société.
