20 new nurses and 12 midwives registered

The Seychelles Nurses and Midwives Council yesterday, April 4, formally welcomed 20 newly graduated nurses and 12 midwives to the nursing and midwifery profession. All of the graduates were presented with the following documents: a registration certificate; a license; a copy of the Nurses and Midwives Act and Regulation; a copy of the Nursing Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct; and a nurse’s badge. Present to bear witness to this significant ceremony was the Minister for Health, Mrs. Peggy Vidot; Chief Executive Officer of the Health Care Agency, Dr. Danny Louange; Chief Nursing Officer, Dr. Gylian Mein; Registrar of the Council, Mrs. Winnifred Agricole; the Council’s Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Eveline Moumou; other members of the council as well as parents of the registrants.
