Marjorie and Ernie Vital live on the 16th floor of Grenfell Tower.
OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS go out to the family in hope that she will be found safely or that answers will be provided on what happened to her and the other 400 people still missing after the inferno at Grenfell Tower in London.
Seychelloise Majorie Vital counted amongst the missing, she is originally from Anse Aux Pins and had lived in the United Kingdom for over 20 years.

Marjorie's brother Macleod says it has been an intense time for the family who are very distressed and concerned.
He said he had been visiting hospitals and centres to try to locate his sister and nephew.

Nigel JP Asba Sad, very sad. Prayers to the family. Apparently her son Ernie is missing too.

Bee Cesar Whole families wiped out with this a fire 😢 burned alive, it's awful.

Juliette de Baun Oh no..let's hope they died of smoke inhalation first

Flora Elisa Very sad indeed. Terrible news I can't bear listening to the news . I am also in tears .🙏🏻

Georgette Smith So sad this is terrible 🙏

Two days after the election results I/we had wanted to address our respective Seychelles Communities in Britain, Ireland - our people, families, friends and acquaintance who just refuse to grasp the relevancy of those two portal project seyeu.com and SIROP portal the important impacts on the complex functionality of our respective Communities in Britain if you the people do not know not aware what goes on in you living room, bed room , kitchen, bath room and corridor, your pocket and wallets and wardrobes do not expect outsiders to know - the talk of revamping those two project we are not begging for your money if this is what you are thinking instead we have been giving you money in many unseen ways for the past 25 years, the many British politicians, Judges, police authorities and media well aware and the Masonic fraternity *The Vital Family we/I have known for 30 years in UK know of these issues - then came the announcement of a particular Kent MP who have know of these issues for the past 25 years, the Judicial Review at the Royal court of Justice, the European Court and the International court and the Human rights Court as PM May Deputy and the pig very stale manure which started to fly being polite here - we decided not to address this topic and then the news the next day of this inferno.🙏🏻Check our Facebook posting on the announcement and news.

Bee Cesar The negligence in this situation is unbelievable. An inferno that can consume 24 floors in 15 mins due to plastic padding in the insulation - now reports have said that people can't be identified due to the extent of their injuries - it's truly appalling

Our Communities have been involved in so much incidents these past 30 years and more those who would like to gunnybag us - how many remembers the Steven Lawrence case, the riot in Brixton, the Riot in North London - them super wise politicians when they start where their mind./brain goes who get hold of it and their memory. All of you people posting go sit quietly and replay all the old recordings and tapes them make your conclusion and sum up. The mega battle to take Britain out of the European Court of Justice jurisdiction the mega why - their excuses - a very large majority of the Back/ethnic communities would have had a very raw deal terrible justice if the European court of Justice did not function. Those leading Conservative Officials reading/following our thread - if it was not for the European court of Justice what would be happening. (Again being very polite the mountain of manure the farmers was piling the whole of 2016 in the field and the many post we made what was really happening - they have spread them in the fields and we have collected some  of that manure and put them among the roses in Kent the old families planted those roses 35 years ago. ) We have taken many photos and shard some of them - Mrs Bouquet would say the Queen/her Majesty's roses. Do you they know what these roses are all about. The families who planted them did the Wars and we talk of Britexit.

Daniel Cesar Totally unacceptable the many lives loss - prayers and thoughts go out to all affected by this tragedy!

Robert Bason Very sad news from my home country. The fact is I'm always praising the safety standards there as far as electrical fire and security is concerned. Something has gone horribly wrong as I've never heard of polystyrene cladding of buildings!
PM Theresa May wants a public enquiry! This is insufficient, an INQUEST is necessary!

Nigel JP Asba Agree! Apparently, the renovators used cheap cladding on the tower - they were not fire resistant.
The fire resistant ones were only £2 more. People are so angry & upset everywhere. In this day & age especially in a western country like UK, this shouldn't have happened. This country is all about health & safety everywhere you turn. This disaster could have been easily avoided if only all those responsible listen to the resistants. It was a chain of events & a disaster in waiting!
There should be a coroner's inquest & criminal investigation. A public inquiry doesn't do justice to the families. Heartbreaking when watching the news & seeing children crying out for help, nothing can be done to help. Even fire fighters were so emotional because they were there in the tower inferno & could hear screaming. They just can't get to them because those apartments were inflame & there protective suits started to burn too.
Horrible, just horrible!

Robert Bason When I was still in England like 30+ years ago there were two serious fires in the North which claimed the lives of quite large families. Within weeks safety of three piece suites was upgraded inasmuch the foam must be FIRE RESISTANT. If not and a fire breaks out the temperature is something like 300 degrees C within 15 minutes besides toxic fumes!

Robert Bason In some countries that contractor would face the death penalty.

Nigel JP Asba Marie Ange Chang-Tave bear in mind also that the government has cut social funding considerable especially to the local council.

Bella Underwood Very sad news indeed

Annette Albert

Guy Labrosse Tragic and sad, such a terrifying way to go. The government needs to get to the bottom of this and review all those tower constructions. If people were "cutting corners" with safety procedures, heads need to roll.

Noellie Alexander Let us pray!

Dilian Pool Thinking of the family at this very sad time .

Carlette Ball Dear Lord, please accept the dead in your arms and console the family and friends during their bereavement , we ask in The Name of Our Lord and may their souls rest In eternal peace Amen.

Lydia Barbe Let's pray,

Charles Hoareau Amen. Very sad.

Salmela Juliette Dear father in heaven I pray for the people's of Seychelles to be found and have mercy on them that they are safe and protected them with your spirit I have faith in you and I know you can do something all are in hand of god

Marie Andree Valmont Sad news

Andrew Jeanny Very sad news . We have many fire in towers in Dubai and even Sharjah but we never see such human tragedy.

Nadia Payet Knowles Very sad, hope they find her and her son.

Hazel Pierre Savy Tragic news .... The BBC reports 76 people are still missing.
Image may contain: 5 people, people smiling, crowd, beard and outdoor

Hazel Pierre Savy Grief turned to anger at earlier protests ....

Bee Cesar I don't blame them. They raised these concerns 2 years ago over safety, the cladding used were £2 cheaper a piece and contained materials highly flammable - they also didn't have any working sprinklers, the outrage and anger is understandable having lost lives that can't be replaced. This area was also quite an affluent area - it's terribly sad 😔

Hazel Pierre Savy Fragile govt facing huge challenges... Marvelous to see a sense of community shines through ...

London fire: Theresa May invites Grenfell Tower victims to Downing Street for meeting Evening Standard
Theresa May has met with residents of Grenfell Tower at her home in Downing Street just days after a devastating fire ripped through the building.

The Prime Minister, who has this week faced criticism over her response to victims affected by the tragedy, met with victims affected for two and a half hours on Saturday afternoon.

It comes as the Met Police announced at least 58 people are now presumed dead in the blaze, which broke out in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

No Seychellois among dead in London fire

20-June-2017
Following the devastating fire destroying the Grenfell Tower in London, resulting in the loss of many lives, the Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that no Seychellois nationals have lost their lives as has been claimed in various reports.
Latest police reports say that at least 79 people are dead or missing and presumed dead following the fire that tore through the 24-story Grenfell Tower in London.
Only five victims have been formally identified so far, and the death toll may change.
However, five people who were originally reported as missing have since been found safe and well.
