Seychelles to welcome 2018 with massive street party

This Sunday hundreds of people in Seychelles will bid farewell 2017 and welcome 2018 in the traditional Street Party at the Stad Popiler car park.
The event is being organised by Casamba Production.
Everything will start at 6pm, where residents and tourists will mingle together in the streets to sing along to popular local New Year songs, and dance the night away with many local artists and well-known local bands.
Local artists who will be present on this joyful night are Philip Toussaint, François Larue, Elijah, Ion Kid, among others. They will be accompanied by bands such as Saturn, Laflanm, and many more.
The director of Casamba Production, Basil Bouchereau, said that everyone are invited to welcome 2018 in this massive party.
“It is the only place where you can have fun for free, with good music and a good crowd. So let’s all bid farewell to 2017 this Sunday in the Street Party,” he said.
Many people though still prefer to welcome the NewYear in the company of close family members at special parties and dinners while others gather in various parishes across the island for mass.
New Year is also the time to not only look at the achievements made but focus on new resolutions.
