Finalists known

The finals of the Robert Smith and Lenny Aglaé tournament have been slated for Sunday May 20 at the Palais des Sports after the six finalists booked their tickets to the title deciders.
If the women’s finalists had already been decided late last week, the finalists of the men’s division one and division two were known after last weekend’s semifinals played at the Palais des Sports.
In the men’s top division, Beau Vallon Heat made it to the final with ease after earning a 20-point difference win against opponents Drifters on a 65-45 score.
This means the Heat will match up against neighbours Bel Ombre Marlins who eliminated PLS Hawks 93-85 in the other semifinals.
Second division champions last year, the Marlins have acquired the services of seasoned players like Rodney Lozé and Barry Barron in their quest to challenge the big guns in their first year among the elites.
The second division final will see Cascade Bullets take on Espoir United after the two sides posted wins over their opponents in last weekend’s semifinals.
Cascade Bullets beat AB Boys 74-64, while Espoir United made their presence felt with a double-digit win against Baba Academy on a 55-43 score.
On the women’s side, B Challenge and Anse Etoile Stars will meet in the final.
Having trailed HotShots for most of the game, B Challenge needed a big fourth quarter display to beat the Anse Boileau-based team to reach the final. And they did it to win the match 49-41.
As for Anse Etoile Stars, they qualified straight for the semifinal where they faced RA Sonics and won 79-27.

On Sunday at 3.45pm at the Palais des Sports: B Challenge v/s Anse Etoile Stars.

On Sunday at 5.30pm at the Palais des Sports: Beau Vallon Heat v/s Bel Ombre Marlins.
