President Faure meets District Administrators
13 December 2019 | Community Development

President Danny Faure chaired a meeting with District Administrators from districts on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue this morning at State House.

The meeting forms part of the President’s routine consultation with public servants, providing a platform for them to openly discuss work in their respective districts, raise pertinent issues and challenges, as well as make suggestions of possible solutions moving forward.

The President opened discussions by reviewing the noble work of District Administrators, which he described as ‘the face of government in all communities’, a service he emphasised should be delivered in line with the fundamental principles of transparency, accountability and good governance.

During the meeting, the DAs also had the opportunity to suggest changes that would make a difference in their respective districts. Some of the key points discussed during the meeting included Schemes of Service, respect and understanding of their role, social ills, communication between Ministries, Departments and Agencies, budget constraints, and student engagement.

President Faure also availed of the opportunity to express appreciation on behalf of government for all the good work being done by District Administrators, and how despite the challenges, they continue to remain focused in ensuring a service is delivered.

In Today's State of the Nation Address President Danny Faure announce the decision to allow Regional Council election in 2021

To be reminded the debacle of that SIROP program, our forum section on a Senate and 2016 y debacle of President J A Michel instead of creating a Senate pass the legislation for a Senate put forward the concept of a Regional council to be office in the former local Council buildings and they had one year trail

WHY ONLY NOW? THE LAW WAS PASSED ON 10TH AUGUST 2015, ALMOST 5 YEARS AGO. DANNY BECAME PRESIDENT A FEW MONTHS LATER THE LAST VICE-PRESIDENT TO RECEIVE THE BATON. INSTEAD HE CONNIVED WITH THE OTHER PARTY TO CREATE REGIONAL COUNCILS WHICH HAD NO LEGAL STANDING WHOSE MEMBERS WERE REWARDED WITH A SALARY ALTHOUGH THEY DID NOT HOLD THEIR POSTS UNDER A LAW.
SONA
District Council election
The time has come for citizens to choose their District Council through free and fair elections.
The District Council plays a key role in providing core local services for local communities. It will establish a vision for the country and will direct development at district level. The District Council has a great responsibility to bring people together and direct this community renewal.
The law governing District Councils came into force at the beginning of this week. In line with this law, giving responsibility to the President of the Republic to announce the election dates for the first District Council elections, I am pleased to announce that the elections for the District Council will be held on 21, 22 and 23 January 2021.

Mr Paul Chow good morning to you and your Family. How did you spend this historic night - Do you remember, recall the time your served as a UKSCA Executive , all our leading exiles, former Ministers Alive. In London then Queen Mother, then Princess Margret and those leading British politicians. Those former leading Ministers who supported the idea of a Senate two Tier Assembly - Minister David Joubert in the eventuality there was a change that was 1986, the Mrs Delhomme in France, the issue we refer to her family, then Sir George Souyave, then Mr Robert Frichot in Australia and London, then Lord Beloff, then Sir James Goldsmith and his Party.  when we first floated the idea of SIROP as a voluntary repatriation concept.. In Britain then SA issues and those who opposed and said crazy/mad little Seychelles you do not need all these, the NCVO, the VSU, the Irish,  the Jewish , the Greek community,  the Polish and many others. The way they work things in Britain, the market were impacted, the big finance on this idea and several project were put into place among them a very beautiful office building after three years,  names Senate House among the big banks of London, corporate entities. In Germany those who began building cars and named then Senator Opel car manufacturer and those who build mobile house and caravan and called them Senator. Sir Jams Mancham did not support this idea, neither did your person,  President FA Rene neither. He had bulldozed the return of Multiparty in place, that SIROP Program without the proper government debate and that Phase lll Reclamation,   had he to rely on the so call democratic process,  we would have had nothing today -In Seychelles the process of changing the local party office to the District office and representative under president FA Rene,   those were leveraging issues of that SIROP program and the creation of emblem coats of arms  of the districts,  still we battled on and those of you who had return in Seychelles after 1992,  the Constitution, the 3 Republic and those we wrote to on this subject/topic. In Italy the issues, the Illuminati,  then President Qaddafi,  those in France the Mitterrand and Chirac people and all those in Germany for and against Chancellor Koln, Schroder and the current Chancellor knowledge Merkle , all those in then Russia Gorbachev. In Mauritius 5 years ago those who opted for a Senate Assembly  in the meantime,  the leveraging of the ideas across the world politic system. Safe Seychelles,  the Arabs and Gulf leader who knew and aware,  those form India and Pakistan and Australia, Canada. We had wanted President FA Rene to put this in place by a presidential decree, then National assembly speaker Mc Gregor. Come President J A Michel,  the vigour we pursued this idea, thematic many issues got leveraged, the UN and the EU and the African Union/OAU. President J A Michel found himself in a very difficult position after we have launched that website for a Senate and his cabinet and  government and the fudge he created, proposed the Regional council and events and process. Then SPPF Ministers and their position, then Lady Michel views and then Lady Sara Rene view.  As  a leading politician it is all very well and important to quote the Constitutions and the law - Politicians always break and bend the laws and and rules and then what they promote, the DP and  New DP. That Truth Commission,  they have the resources to make a list of all the political issues related to all those who have misguided and presented their own politic and views to that small nation. Given that Sir James is no more,  those of you as custodian of his legacy. We admit that President Faure do not always get the head of the nail. The Sate of our politic today and all of you being dragged forced before that Truth commission to acknowledge there was a SIROP program and you need to share, say what  you knew and political feeling and motives. The little people of Seychelles will now get the Wifi on the Bus,  that Metro system also a brainchild of that SIR0P program called for enhance IT implementation to support the economy and help the nation. It is shameful that those who have access to the Facebook platform comport the way they are - it require maturity and understanding to discern. In the USA, the Intel, the Pentagon, the very Senate - from then President Ronald Reagan, the Kennedy and other leading US politicians,  this concept and idea for Seychelles all the respective Presidents of the USA knowledge.

Excuses - we have omitted those Blacks politicians of the,  like General Colin Powell, Senator Condolesa Rice, Rev Jesse Jackson, the respective UN Secretary general from the era of President Ronald Reagan, in the Vatican  then Pope John Paul ll,  the German Pope Benedict XVI Ratzinger  and their Officials, some of the Why in their workings,  those European royal families the why again,  because Seychelles is a small nation and those who taken to bullying no the world diplomatic stage and small nation need to be protected and every support,  then Prince Rainier himself and his associates.
