SPA celebrates 14 years and opening of new warehouse

The Seychelles Ports Authority (SPA) celebrated its 14th year anniversary and the opening of its new warehouse on Ile du Port in a reception yesterday morning at the newly-built warehouse.
The ceremony consisted of a thanksgiving mass presided by Father Roger de Comarmond and presentation of long-service awards to SPA staff who have served for a minimum of ten years and a maximum of 40 years with the organisation.
Guests were also treated to a tour of the new warehouse facilities following the unveiling of the official plaque and ribbon-cutting by chairman of the SPA board Paul Hodoul and Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine Didier Dogley.
Mr Hodoul addressed the staff present and said he is proud of what SPA has achieved over the years.
He thanked all staff for their support and commitment throughout the years and urged them to continue, stating that SPA’s competitive advantage lies with the workforce.
He also expressed appreciation on behalf of SPA to all partners such as terminal operator Land Marine as well as shipping agencies, terming them as “valuable services”.
