More entities face FPAC grilling

The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), the Procurement Oversight Unit (POU), the Ministry of Finance and the Auditor General’s office were the different entities which were grilled yesterday by members of the Finance and Public Accounts Committee (FPAC) of the National Assembly.
The FIU was summoned again yesterday after a first grilling last week and the appearance of its director Philip Moustache and Wilna Azemia, who is responsible for the entity’s finance, came after the then lawyer of the FIU Samantha Aglae had sent a letter to the FPAC chairperson Wavel Ramkalawan to clarify issues surrounding her appointment and the contract she had with FIU.
