Given that we have African Union Chairperson on Official visit and the forthcoming national Day – development in the many African Union Institutions and how they perceive other nations, what the media write and how the young generation is educated, informed - so call experts and the money they are paid and the amount involved - Tax payers.
 
For instance all those who lived in former East Africa –then colonial Africa at School our teachers and schools friends who mixed us up with Sicile or Sicily and some went as far as to call us Sicily instead of Seychellois.
 
We are certain the many who have lived and travelled across the world until we became exposed to the greater world how they saw us and viewed us.
 
In this time and era of great information and communication, research and knowledge no excuse.  This said we got to discussing about that proposed Promenade/ Walk way to be build between Coral Strand Hotel and the  Pizza at Mare Englais.
 
We discussed the Old Seychelles, the Seychelles with the new road at the back of the Hotel and the now proposed Development.
 
We were then informed that the Place use to be called “Wireless” not Beau Vallon  as the whole of that Sea Front between today's Coral Strand and the Mare Anglais belonged to the Old Cable and Wireless, that was were the first Cable and wireless Station was build not Victoria as many would like the world to believe, teach our children and the super con/lie.  Yet over the years all the research,  politic and discussion nobody have ever mentioned this.  Including my very person.
 
The property was sold to a Family with all the equipments – you at Home can now research and for many years all the equipment was left on that property – they requested Cable and Wireless to come and dismantle the equipment and they did, the property was again sold  – then Hotel de Seychelles and Gerry Legrand and others moved in.  Our recollection was when Mr Gerry Legrand ran the place as a child.

Today we learnt and read that Prince William and Prince Harry have got Indian/Armenian ancestral blood/links. Both learning was important, monumental and historic. 
 
This said it would be great to have some pictures of the place and it was not by accident that the new undersea fibre optic connection was done at that part of the Island – it has/there is connectivity.
