Sea & Sun Technology Seychelles (SSTS) ([Only admins are allowed to see this link] has announced a partnership with Energy Solutions Seychelles (ESS) ([Only admins are allowed to see this link] allowing the company to offer a wider range of PV products as well as energy efficient devices.
[Mr Maurel] SSTS managing director Yves Maurel says: “This is a great move for the company as we now offer mono-crystaline and polycrystalline photovoltaic panels from LG, BenQ, Sanyo and SunLink PV, thus allowing us to customise installations which cater to a wider range of income brackets and types of mounting (roof mounted, free standing or car ports).”
SSTS has been operating in Seychelles since 2009, and to date has installed 20 PV systems on Mahé and Cerf Island which contribute 156kW of clean, green energy to the grid.
“We were already the largest installers of PV in Seychelles,” says Mr Maurel, “but the additional 7 PV systems from ESS means we are now contributing 189kW to the national grid - leaving the competition well behind not only in number of installations but also energy supply.”
ESS managing director Richard Hoareau says: “There is a lot of potential for PV in Seychelles but the price is still prohibitive for some families. As PUC bills are quite high, this opens up opportunities in energy efficiency.
“This is why ESS, which was established in 2012, has expanded the PV business to supply energy efficient devices such as solar thermal hot water systems, a range of LED lighting for the home, business and also solar street lighting, plus voltage surge protection, automatic voltage stabilisers (AVS) and uninterrupted power supply (UPS),” says Mr Hoareau.
SSTS/ESS is still partnered with Sea & Sun Technology GmbH ([Only admins are allowed to see this link] who provide a supporting role with technical assistance from German experts in renewable energy.
