Hundred million-year-old 'river monster' with a powerful fin-like tail is discovered in the Sahara - proving that dinosaurs DID live underwater
The dinosaur — called Spinosaurus aegyptiacus — had a powerful flat tail
It spent most of its life underwater and was well adapted to hunting in rivers
Adults reached 50ft long and weighed as much as 20 tonnes when fully grown
Part of a tail was found fossilised in Morocco which revealed the animal swam
It is the first direct evidence of an aquatic dinosaur and proves they conquered both land and water
