Major network platfrom announcement
Dear Forum visitors and friends,
We have finished the registration for the platfrom mentioned above. The present state is just to activate our account. the major task is to complete revamp the platfrom to suit our communities need ie in every EU member state. Should the need. demand be there special page for other Seychelles communities in around the world.
The unique aspect of this platfrom given the problematice of lack of proper media, space to interact the system allows great flexibility - the scope is almost limitless.
A word of thank you. With out the assistance and good wishes of our ancestral Italian friends, the Church and friends in the EU this very unique platfrom would not have become available. We had stated we would dedicate it - when we had nothing in Europe 25 years ago , we had to learn the values of how Italian, French and other European families work. We dedicate this platfrom to those who made the first steps from Seychelles, and all the families of Europe and the Indian Ocean., North Africa.
It will also that we keep to certain standard and ethical practice.
On Behalf of our Seychelles EU communities our good wishes in everything you will be networking over this very special platfrom.

New website aims to boost regional trade - 20.03.2009
A website is to be launched in May to help all those involved in trade or investment in the Indian Ocean region by providing information on new opportunities.
It is aimed at importers, exporters, manufacturers, foreign investors, government ministries and agencies dealing with trade and industry in the countries of the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC).
The project is being carried out under the Regional Trade Information Network, which is based on national trade information networks for each of the IOC member countries with the aim of strengthening regional trade.
The Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) is the designated focal point of the trade information network here, and the supporting stakeholders are the Ministry of National Development, the Ministry of Finance (Trade Division), the Small Enterprise Promotion Agency, the Seychelles Investment Bureau and the National Statistics Bureau.
The aims of the website are to:
• Provide a platform for the exchange of business information;
• Enable traders from any IOC member state to identify new markets for finished products and for raw materials in other IOC member states;
• Provide easy access to national and international sources of information;
• Raise national awareness on opportunities in the regional market so as to exploit them fully;
• Increase the visibility of small and medium enterprises;
• Strengthen international trade competitiveness.
Businesses interested in trading in the IOC region are invited to submit their information and contact details to the SCCI so it can be included in the website. Contact: SCCI Secretariat 2nd Floor, Ebrahim Building, Victoria. Telephone: 323812.
The website project was begun in October 2006 during a regional workshop on management of commercial information, which was held in Antananarivo, Madagascar, and organised by the International Trade Centre.
