An Old Seychelles Football legend Mr Sando - Eugene Mondelly passed away in England.
Mr Sando - Eugene Mondelly, lived in Islington with extended family off Caledonian Rd which we visited last year, he had been hospitalized. He passed away on 9th September 2020.
We got to meet him after 1997 when Islington Council /Jewish Care helped get us rehoused. The core of our exile community /Leadership returning in 1992. He was always a very Jolly person whatever the weather and would always talk and reminiscent about the many past person of Seychelles, the Old Ascot Football players. The Tobruk Club.
As Children we had seen him play at Gordon Square.
His Family resided at St Louis. We have written to a few person about his death. Part of the Pandemic our Community losing several of its older member, citizen, compatriot, the need for Solidarity and the younger generation responsibility to take up the flag, banner just as they did.
Our Community and its working convey its condolence and sympathy to his family, relatives and friends in UK and Seychelles.
