Anse La Mouche hotel. The lease will be for 99 years, for $8 million plus a rupee per year.
The 160 room 4 star hotel will cost about $250 millions. It will create about 600 jobs and bring in many tourists. How many of these jobs will go to locals? There will be a bridge from the diverted road and the hotel complex. I hope Seychellois will have the right to enter the hotel to have a meal or drink, at the same price as for the visitors, as in hotels in Spain etc.

Anse Lamouche promenade. Pres WR’s reassurance about the “PROMENADE” goes a long way towards reassuring that public access will continue as at present, and not diminished.
There must be NO CHECKS,  before members of the public are allowed to go onto the promenade, no control or obstacle whatsoever.
The reassurance that no buildings etc will be allowed between the promenade and the beach is also welcome.
No marina will be allowed, as this will reduce public access to the beach.
The two car parks, one at each end, seems quite small. How many cars will each of them take?

Listening to the national Assembly debate this week,,  the stressing, emphasis that in Seychelles we have the young generation with the due education and knowledge, capacity   to take that country to the next level.  Hence this post.
For all the specialized education most of them fail to give credit to that SIROP program of 1987/87, the proposed projects and development presented and outlined. In Europe and across the world those  who read our respective issues. To all those in the National Assembly because you did not live in Europe, you have emancipated and have acquired the skills  to speak, talk in public  - how the European think and work, the views towards a small country like Seychelles. You may have all the good intentions -they have, had the capacity to negate a good deal of this, the many mechanism and instruments. Hence that SIROP program .

Given the political and economic situation,  the money involve those with the imagination to go back to the process of running the country and taking power through military force. How this impact development program.  Today you do not need this there exist other methods and manner. Take the current situation in Myanmar coup -the west media approach the UN, we have influenced three instance in that process and the current president in dentin knowledge yet we can//could influence the situation that changes come - we do not have to do it. To benefits the dogs and cats.

Take the issues of the Russian  Savoy Hotel development and then President Michel government. The Russian are a very hard customer, many issues outside Seychelles impact that project and construction. Vijay construction  long experience in Construction in Seychelles - what ensued. We have address the issues of moving our working to mainland Europe again the position taken by many in Seychelles with for all their studies and education,  how this will influence and impact many aspects of Seychelles working,  development. Any Nation when you have such an issue you learn to find way to understand and work with it.

The UN agencies may have a great deal of expertise and resources but in todays world  they are not the master of the world economic and nation development mechanism. To many in that Seychelles benchmark their thinking to that of UN agencies. To remind everybody that SIROP program in 1986/87 was not written with UN  coordination,  involvement  because then those who knew UN what have ensued. Including President FA Rene and Sir James Mancham.
