UN chief Ban Ki-moon on official visit to Seychelles

03-May-2016

United Nations secretary general Ban Ki-moon will undertake an official visit to Seychelles from May 7-8 at the invitation of President James Alix Michel.
He is the first serving secretary general of the United Nations ever to visit Seychelles since the country joined the organisation in September 1976.
This visit is particularly timely and significant as Seychelles commemorates its 40th anniversary as a sovereign nation and its membership of the United Nations. It is a powerful testimony to the exemplary and fruitful partnership between Seychelles and the United Nations, as well as its agencies, in the political and socio-economic development of Seychelles over the years. This partnership draws its strength from the UN charter, the values it upholds and the opportunities offered by the organisation for friendship and cooperation with the international community. It is nurtured by a common purpose: the progress of people, peace, justice and prosperity in the world.
As Seychelles prepares to welcome Mr Ban and to express to him its appreciation for the role played by the UN in helping Seychelles attain nationhood, as well as his outstanding service and invaluable contributions to the UN, in particular in spearheading real action on climate change and sustainable development, the country will also celebrate the United Nations secretary general’s recognition that Seychelles and other islands have a voice and vision worthy of his attention and engagement.
It will be recalled that President Michel has built a personal and special relationship with Mr Ban and that government and other stakeholders have successfully used the UN as a platform for championing the agenda of Small Island Developing States (Sids), especially where it concerns combating climate change, promoting the Blue Economy, maritime security, realising the sustainable development goals, promoting gender equality, youth and women empowerment as well as dealing with other regional and global issues critical to Seychelles.
Mr Ban will hold bilateral talks with President Michel on May 7 and will be later hosted to a reception at State House.
It will be recalled that Mr Ban Ki-moon from the Republic of Korea is the eight occupant of the post. He took office in January 2007. This year marks the end of his second and final five-year term as United Nations secretary general.

Almost forgot we shared that link to this page - before we end this Historic day - would like to take the opportunity to address the Incoming Mayor of London and His Office.

The larger/more important concentration of our community is in Hounslow/Slough Council - how they came to settle there and those who pioneered our early days - the very important Asian communities we had to work and network with.

We have address our East Africa Sechelles Seychelles Asian important past links, working and those from the former East African Asian Communities in not just Hounslow - across London.

As a Community in East Africa, the legacy we left and contributions - a such our ancestral values, just as every nations have such important Values.

From 1978/9 when our first exile/refugee families decided to settle close to Heathrow Airport. Their motives. We were offered a blunt offer either we have our Main Office in London or Hounslow, then Dame Shirley Porter as Mayoress of London and her support for our community and the Center we had decided to open the negotiation which had been started/Initiated by Mr Gerard Hoareau, the leader of SNM/MPR - the very interesting history of this project and the City of London. Talking of the Panama papers. In the end for Funding/Grant support we moved from Calpham Junction, the police Station, Old library/ Wondsworth Forum fostering to Hounslow. The many Asians NGO personalities who shared their knowledge and experiences with us knowing we came form the Indian Ocean, then Cold War and Geopolitics.
Among our working connection in Hounslow, the Pakistan communities and the why - associated/linked with our ancestral European Arcadian workings. The many instance in spite of our small size the thematic and topics we became engaged in and the dynamic/disciples we applied to work and drive them.

Today's media possibility in vastly different to 1980 - when we impute in such complex topics were muzzled, threaten and bullied to shut up, not to mention them in writing, in public because of the repercussion of the Illuminati/Masonic Establishments. Those who took the credits for our impute and hard work. Inevitable when using such discipline and when overly abused, mismanaged the very negative fallout to be polite. This affecting not just the Asian communities in Hounslow or London but their respective Home Land and Nation and their Communities across the world.

Because of this development - we found it necessary to open special communication with the UN and then Europe relevant institutions explaining what was going on from our point of view. Those who are familiar with the workings of UN and EU what this requires. Again the pattern. We almost acquired a Center for the Community in Hounslow. BY then our communities had acquired sufficient experiences and spread their residences across other Borough.

At this stage ask and politely remind the greater Asians communities in Britain to remember the state of British economy/politic, their plight, the debacle of the economic situation then ex East Africa Asians and establish ‪#‎Asian‬ communities - then Issues of Professor Von Hayak and Prof Micheal Hofmann on the streets of London or Hounslow it meant nothing - we had been importantly involved. Beside other associated experience. The decision for our exile/refugee community to put into place that historic SIROP program initially $500/800 millions for a small nation what this meant and the complexities we had structured its implementation. ( Today some 27 years on that program is 50% implemented and a gross worth of some $4 billion) We used our facilities based at the Weighbridge Building/Headed by Mr Leslie Forsyth SNP member. We used our Kilburn- Brent facilities by then Mr Ken Livingstone, the very extended Irish Communities, be they in Hounslow or Brent. Given then Seychelles Cold War diplomatic, economic and other connection - equally build sophisticated connections in London those underground communities of then East Europe/COMECON who supported changes. Among other important resources the NGO of Ealing, Refugee Forum and several others. NCVO and LVSC. The important Polish Resources in Chiswick and Community/Borough Resources. Those who supported us and were told bluntly when that program would be accepted and implemented the Region of Indian Ocean, Africa and Gulf Region would forever change. Then Pakistan government, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka - the many Tamil debacles and politic we got embroiled in. By then we were directly engage with the USA, USSR/Later Russia Commonwealth, EU and a number of important world players. Again what this requires and take. Meanwhile the British media what they reported and wrote. We came to the conclusion the Benchmark which controlled information and knowledge need to be changed if that Program was to be successful - we undertook negotiation with President F Mitterrand to deploy the then Minitel system for this Program and developing a global connectivity to use and share information - He was reluctant. We had already become committed in the CERN Project again the application of our ancestral working when things do not function or work and the outcome - the creation of the WWW. The impact on regional nations, be they Gulf Region, Africa, India , Pakistan or Bangladesh. Those who knew- aware our Community involvement. Beside several important associated projects - to stress how the Asian communities saw and benefited and those with the economic and financial resources capitalized. From then on the wealth of the Asian communities across London. What about setting up the National Lottery project and politic - the utter lie we had started that Project in Kilburn and how PM John Major took it on-board, again the manner thing get/are done in this country, beside the sudden economic growth and development possibility in their respective countries.

In short it was that historic program which opened the doors for many very important economic, social and democratic possibilities for Indian, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Gulf region and Africa.

Now we come to the reason for this thread - those form NCVO and LVCS, we had started that program from basic and by then some 5 years 1991, the return of Multiparty in Seychelles and many regional and world changes. Those leadership of NCVO and LVSC who used many aspect of that program to build and develop new capacity for their workings, New premises and Resources as such London workings and the Office of the Mayor of London and the City involved.

7/5/2016, We have edited this contribution. The need to say we were very concern and disappointed when we learnt Lady Thatcher would be cremated. The functionality after death. The raw and unwritten thematic, topics linked with the closure of GLC by the Conservatives. How the NGO, the Grass Roots, the Volunteer sector suffered, the exile/refugee and the Homeless/Poverty, the Charity workings - the Conservative view, politic and policies. We our, Community and ancestral/ heritage were involved those who choose to forget and what the media have written as history or fact. We took and formed part of those entities who did not give up and joined the fight for the replacement of an alternative body. To achieve this we brought in the French Model of Mayoral workings, the many, many thematic, topics and fallout positive and negative - the Mayor Chirac and others. The French Community in London, Institutions. The European Communities dimension to force and compel the Conservative to adopt and create this Office. The city of London Corporate dimensions. The formulation of the new Office - where it would be House, as is the norm with British working linking/associated thematic, politic in Europe, the USA and rest of the world influencing and driving them and responsibilities/parameters - very important, the battle to elect its very first office bearer/Mayor and how we waded in and the discipline and mechanism we used. Yet again the so call main steam media what they wrote as history and those who took credit and the manner, approach things are done in this country - the Grass Root and communities and individuals who fight, slug it out and help to get things done and the Politician and Institution and their media who lie, work with utter dishonest benchmarks and take credit and con the world they did everything and managed everything. We had trust getting involved in Project like Wikipedia this would encourage contributors to share and write their perception of what it History and reality and Wikipedia or those who have been educated/program to listen to only certain voices and we have to many one sided so call history and truth of history. This also required the empowerment of Grass and Ethnic Community workings - the important role we played with that and through that SIROP program and other working corporate interests. We helped create the Today News paper, the Independent and the European News. Then Robert Maxwell. When a community or given entity gets embroiled in such major debacle these are not to be forgotten or just swept under the carpet - sadly the use and abuse of those infernal satanic/criminal mechanism those who abuse it to control the mind of younger generation, Grass Root, exile/refugee sector workings and many other who would like to work with them - the utter corrupted practices and approach and the mega mess society, democracy have landed in as a result. What about the many past Labour , Liberal Politicians we worked these thematic with, many not there anymore and those who choose to forget and so doing disrespect their live and what they have fought for and represented gave to the world and this country. For this important reason we have many many individuals, they apply this satanic/cjd and criminal mechanisms, they harvest and steal information and the rage/rave, spin it is their knowledge and abilities - the super mess British Politic have landed, Europe and the rest of the world including Mr Donald Trump, the like of President J A Michel, Dr Ramgoolam, SAJ and those from Africa, the Arab world - the cacophony. Those exile/refugee from our community who had wanted and wished that this mechanisms/practice, get implanted in Seychelles after the meltdown of the Communist/dictatorial system practices/communication. ("Thank you Facebook for your existence and very great communication possibilities associated resources)
It is very normal when any entity or communities or parties undertake such exercise and involvement - the report, they develop management capacity to work and continue develop due capacity to work future thematic and in this case then Mr Ken Livingstone, Mr Boris Johnson and this current Mayoral election and outcome.

Seychelles is embroiled in the Somali Pirate debacle and the decision to build the Pirate Center there and for the past 7 years the multi Naval Task force operating there. Seychelles is embroiled in other very complex and complicated diplomatic and military thematic of the region - yet the British institution and media would have the world believe they are just a bunch of coconuts heads and happy people, silly heads - the objective and purpose of this thread it to share with the incoming Mayor our concern and share it wit the world and the respective authorities and institutions. Failing this - the eventual very negative collateral fall outs.

We have been covering such thematic for the past 15 years.

On behalf of our greater Seychelles Communities workings in London, Britain and Europe convey our good wishes and success to the incoming Mayor of London.

One Seychelles

So Ban ki Moon reckons we have a good model of democracy regarding the national assembly. The arsehole proclaimed that the Seychelles National Assembly is a good model of democracy. What did they give him to drink? Was he promised an island? Whoever his aides are they should be sent to the nearest shop and pick up a copy of the seychellois hebdo. The national assembly is on the front page! A fake opposition party was created to contest in its appointment! The only supposedly opposition member of the assembly had to have a law changed so he could get a chair because another ellection would have been a farcical waste of money! Close to half of the country are not represented. The building itself is a donation from china, a champion of democracy in Asia.
Tuesday cannot come fast enough to get this senile old f**k in a plane and on his way.

Yes we are not model for Democracy but please be respectful.

The model is good, not the tenants

Remember, in all our intelligence and experience, we chose to boycott the last NA Elections in protest of of vote rigging and a flawed electoral system and law. The new one we ended up with after more than 2 years discussion and negotiation is a lot lot worst than the previous one.

ban ki moon inn bwar dilo boyo

Blind judgement

Mwan mon pa trouv naryen mwan ki sa i'n vin fer isi.Zis i'n vin pra loder e pi ale.Beze.

With Government Officials forced to go meet Ban Ki Moon who is just holidaying as he is coming to the end of his mandate so he visits places that he has not just for his memoirs - what has he done for Seychelles? Obviously the man has not read reports commissioned by the UN his very organization - 40% POVERTY REMEMBER!!

The UN is by and large a useless organisation just burning up money that could be put to better use elsewhere. All they do is enjoy high lives in New York and Vienna. George Bush Junior did not do a lot right, but he said one thing right, when he said that he would never allow the foreign policy of the US to be dictated to by some of those tin pot dictators in the UN.

There you have it tin pot dictators function alike hence the praises!

UN chief Ban Ki-moon on official visit to Seychelles Empty THANK YOU FOR THE SNUB MR. SECRETARY GENERAL!

Post  Sirop14 Mon May 09, 2016 3:53 pm

THANK YOU FOR THE SNUB MR. SECRETARY GENERAL!
This man is supposed to be the world’s most influential diplomat with the moral authority to address and confront issues that should make the world a better place for all its population. He may not have the physical means at his disposal to rectify all that is wrong in so many countries on this planet, but he does have the moral authority and the platform from which he can and should promote, in an objective manner, the general principles of democracy, justice and welfare of humanity as enshrined in the charters of the organisation that he heads and represents. During his visit to the Seychelles he has patently disappointed when he failed to embrace any of those issues that are impeding meaningful justice and democracy in our country.
Contrast that to the stance taken by the late Holy Father Pope John Paul II, who never shied away from confronting controversial issues even when they delivered some stinging rebukes to his hosts. We saw his criticisms of Castro’s dictatorship in Cuba and inhumane capitalism in the USA. Pope John Paul II spared no one the truth. For that he was loved, respected and revered by peoples of all creeds, races and religions all over the world. The incumbent UN Secretary General should have learnt a few lessons from the Holy Father, since canonized as a Saint of the Catholic Church.
Prior to his arrival in the Seychelles, the leaders of the “Linyon Demokratik Seselwa” penned an open letter to him, where they highlighted some of the major shortfalls of our so-called democracy. It seems that Mr. Ban Ki Moon paid scant regard to that letter. Ironically, he went on to praise the advance of democracy in a so-called elective chamber devoid of any members of the opposition that today represents over 50% of the Seychellois population. Mr. Moon failed to allude to any issues raised by the opposition leaders in their open letter. By failing to acknowledge that letter, Mr. Moon has not only insulted over half of the Seychellois population, he has also failed to understand that his host during his visit to our islands, was not only the discredited James Michel and his Parti Lepep, but the People of Seychelles as a whole including those in opposition who were recently robbed of a majority in disputed elections.
It is hard to comprehend that such an intelligent man with a wealth of high-level diplomatic experience could make such a glaring faux pas. Was Mr. Moon misguided and misinformed in his approach or did he really mean to ignore and therefore insult the other half of our people, who aspire and are committed to the advancement of real democracy and transparent governance in Seychelles? Did he come as the world’s leading diplomat to deliver a meaningful message or as a tourist to enjoy the scenery and some high browed hospitality before performing his swan song as Secretary General of the UN?
Regardless of the way one looks at it, he spurned a great opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way towards consolidating democracy in our country.

UN chief Ban Ki-moon on official visit to Seychelles Empty Palestine grateful for Seychelles’ support

Post  Sirop14 Wed May 18, 2016 10:39 am

Palestine grateful for Seychelles’ support

Seychelles media, PL and President J A Michel take Seychellois for brainless.

Yesterday we edited the UN Secretary General visit article to add the 9 attempted coup, the international Program we tried to set up on BIOT and that SIROP program. World function and Cold War - the position and link of Palestine people - specially it Leader Mr Ya-seer Arafat.

With/part of that SIROP program was to change /impact the situation of Palestine and its people. We developed a marked changed relation with it Leadership to work some of the issues, the White house , the CIA, those form US Senate and those in London and Paris who knew were aware. We do not have the time to list them.

it has not been Seychelles government doing but the core workings of that SIROP program - hence our call for UN, EU to AU for help to report what really took place and the corrupted media benchmark and those very awful and terrible politicians in Seychelles. We have strong linking issues with Mr Arafat death and Election of his successor and the Palestinian government not Seychelles government - the need to make a clear distinction.

We addressed the situation of communication - we trust those new party in formation/constellation they are mindful of their communication. ( The recent mega Serbia topic and decoration of President J A Michel and that Anti-corruption Commission) we the 25,000 exiles do the dirty work, they steal the credits and they the plot how to send us to Guantanamo Bay detention. However small the Palestinian State is they have resources and Network they ought o be able to verify what we are writing.

What about the setting up of the Palestine Stock Market - how this was triggered, when we took that Community coat of arms to Bruxelles University for the student to work on, the announcement of Seychelles , Mauritius and Palestinian Stock market.

Palestine grateful for Seychelles’ support

UN chief Ban Ki-moon on official visit to Seychelles Empty Ban Ki-moon's big sin against Arabs

Ban Ki-moon's big sin against Arabs

The United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in an extraordinary speech that truly surprised the public and could be referred to as “revolutionary remarks of a traditional conservative”, left no respect and credit for the House of Saud regime in the United Nations.

The UN secretary general publicly acknowledged on Thursday that he removed Saudi Arabia and the anti-Yemen Saudi-led coalition currently bombing Yemen from a blacklist of child killers — 72 hours after it was published — due to a financial threat to defund United Nations programs. He accused Saudi Arabia and its military allies of placing “undue pressure” on the international organization.

In a press conference, Ban called his decision to remove the House of Saud regime from the blacklist as “one of the most painful and difficult decisions I have had to make.” Ban went on to say that he had his arm twisted to change tack in the wake of anger from Riyadh.
