President expresses condolences on passing of Bernard Rassool

President Danny Faure has expressed his profound condolences to the family of Bernard Rassool, who passed away in Perth, Western Australia, on September 19 at the age of 70.

Mr Rassool had been a distinguished and highly respected member of the legal profession, having served as Attorney General in Seychelles up to the early 1980s.

Comment - On behalf of our EU and greater exile/refugees and diaspora working convey our condolence and sympathy to the Rassool family, extended family, friends, associates and friends, colleagues.

#All three Rassool  families were of acquaintance of Judge E J Stiven, then young Lawyer Mr Bernard Rassool training in London, his respect of his knowledge of law, Jurisprudence of East Africa.  

Mr Bernard  Rassool belong to those Seychellois with legal knowledge along with Sir George Souyave, Mr Robert Frichot, Mr Ramnijk Valabjhi who gave/provided  their legal and experience to help address present and implement that SIROP program. Not to exclude Sir James Mancham in spite of his many publication about Seychelles One Party System got/was changed.

It is with deep regret that we have to face that Truth commission and those with in depth Seychelles legal and Justice knowledge cannot and will not be present to address the Commission.
