As celebrants flocked to La Digue for the annual Feast of the Assumption yesterday, over on Mahé Margaret Woodfield Pouponneau and her family were marking another celebration: her 111th birthday.
The St Louis resident is considered the oldest citizen of Seychelles, gaining the title of 'La Doyenne' of Seychelles following the passing of Nancy Marie in 2021 at the age of 112.
