Rudolf Derek Jean Jacques, alias Gro Derek, est poursuivi sous 13 chef d’accusations pour blanchiment d’argent. Aux bancs des accusés se retrouvent également Dharamdeo Balkissur, Bruno Wesley Casimir, Roukesh Hemraj et Jean Fabrice Danilo François

Les cinq accusés comparaîtront mardi prochain. Il est reproché à Gro Derek d’avoir fait l’acquisition de plusieurs véhicules, dont une BMW X5, avec de l’argent provenant du trafic de drogue. L’ICAC l’accuse aussi d’avoir, en avril et mai 2012, remis à deux reprises la somme de Rs 2,5 millions à Roukesh Hemraj pour le financement d’une boîte de nuit et pour l’achat d’équipements en Chine. Gro Derek est aussi soupçonné d’avoir remis des sommes d’argent à un intermédiaire en mai 2012 pour transporter de l’héroïne de Madagascar à Maurice.

Bruno Wesley Casimir, skipper de profession, est, lui, accusé d’avoir transféré Rs 11 345 et une autre somme de Rs 15 175, qui proviendraient du trafic de drogue, à un ressortissant malgache. Il répond aussi de quatre chefs d’accusation pour avoir payé Rs 625 000 à Hayeshan Madarbaccus pour que celui-ci transporte de l’héroïne de la Grande île vers Maurice.
