Work starts to develop national standards to better treat drug use disorders

21-February-2019

Providers of services, health care and treatment for drug users in the country will in the near future be able to better ensure continuity of their programmes, manage the drug situation more effectively and sustainably and ensure treatment standards that meet well-tested international norms.

This will be possible now that the Agency for the Prevention of Drug Abuse and Rehabilitation (APDAR) with the support and assistance of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has started work to draft national standards for substance use disorders.
