We have worked in the field/involved in Human rights issues the pas 40 years and reading the news of another Human rights Group/body is being set up in Seychelles this time initiated by Mauritius entities and the Australian.

We have a situation were by the like of Sir James Mancham and others battle for Human Rights and the issues of Reconciliation and the Truth commission, once those are not around their work and hard toil get overlook and forgotten where are their rights. It does not get respected.
We have a Truth Commission, events relating those some 15,000 force to flees their country from Seychelles their fate the past 40 years, the UN , Australia, Britain denying, those who get Trained and funded by such parties to promote Human rights.
That SIROP program was /have been involved in one of the world most important thematic relating to Human rights then USSR, then COMECON then OAU, those 250,000 Russian Jews and the 87,000 Ethiopian Jews and the Holocaust issues. < Latin America its work gets no mention or recognition.

What about the rights of our Seychelles Diaspora their contributions in building the Nation economy. In Seychelles the person of leading lawyer Philippe Boule and his wife their work in the field of Human rights this do not get mention. The person of Mr Paul chow.
There are those who judge a military clean up of Seychelles would change the situation in the 1980, the rate things are going on in that Seychelles all those coming from far and wide who never lent a hand in the struggle wanting to have their say and dictating, it lend one to think a change in the Government system would bring bout an important solution and purge the system - today in that Seychelles the LBGT have more /rights than those families and their children who suffered and were persecuted under the one party system. When we protest they join, band against us and get us treated and labelled as Terrorist.

Dear Sirs, Madam - Following our comment on our Facebook page and our EU Community Forum, the need to be polite our European training and experience in the field of Human communication, some 30 years - the buzz we have received from officials of the Dis - Mois in Seychelles and Mauritius. Given the extreme pressure of the Britexit thematic on our Communities, Families in Britain the past 5 years, the important death, media thematic of the gravity of health being impacted by this very very important historic process - equally impacting our energy and effectiveness to respond to other responsibilities and collection issues. The Mauritian community in Britain the past 30/40 years awareness , knowledge of the Seychelles community in Britain, the old community and recent one and our issues - in particular thy exile/refugees. The impacting issues /politic of Britexit. The many NGO , Bodies and Institutions we have worked, trained with and impute - correct impute in the past 30 years and leading person form Seychelles exile Mrs kathleen Pillay and Lawyer Mr Phillip Boule. We/I made the comment late 8/9 Pm British time after a very difficult day, battling with the White House officials, correct again the White House Officials, aspect of our important USA Europe and Indian Ocean workings, bilateral. We had not taken the time, due research before making that Comment. We have taken some time and research your website, and Facebook and read media coverage. We congratulate and covey our very good wishes to the Executives, its members, supports and vision for the Indian ocean. Instead of a long message to you, on your side pres for time and concentration - better if we had been able to meet with one of your official. We would like to request your Officials in the process of weighing our comment, please do some research on the web our activities the past 40 years. Please note the statement time and time again to the UN and International bodies - it was my person who researched the core work of the COI in Vienna, copies of the Research we distributed, and those involved, how it got taken by the politicians and turned into the COI and Secretariat in Mauritius - Anybody wishing specially the young generation into promoting positive caused for the nation and people of the Indian ocean need to learn be told what the media and politicians have been telling them as lies and they have learnt this as lies. The battle to get this organisation in place, among individual like President Mitterrand and the many US, Britain, Commonwealth OAU, NATO, then USSR and Warsaw Pact, the Arab Nations workings, was not easy , there have been blood and loss of lives and pain associated, the media and politicians, do not present these details. The major befits to Mauritius with its secretariat in Mauritius and those who work the international Economic and bilateral, diplomatic Service capacity to understand the important benefits this brought to the Mauritius nation, economy and government/development. Then Cold War thematic. Out there in the greater world the very very many who were involved and helped and supported again what the media write and the politicians. This is just one issues. Please refer to Mauritius status prior to it becoming a Republic 1986/87 - the PM Jugnauth and then President FA Rene, One party system Cold War and the OAU and None aligned. The USA, NATO, Britain and West support had been for a military intervention in Seychelles to change Seychelles. Some 10 attempted coup d'etat what this imply and mean and the big why on both side - the Human Rights equation/thematic. . It was the decision to put in place that historic SIROP program of 1986/87, the Queen as Head of State in Mauritius - we and President FA Rene unique pressure on then President Jugnauth, the South Africa and Mandela debacle -for Mauritius to be able to take part , become involved and be dynamic in that SIROP program implementation need to become a Republic like Seychelles - Sirs, madam the implication the might and power of the Royal establishment and its institutions coming down on anybody and on us, on this position and it had to be done - once such decision is taken, the capacity to implement and the resources and capacity not like the media and politicians have sated as history, the people told and educated. This Program gave the World the WWWW, Africa, the Indian ocean, Mauritius, china, India- the meaning for Human Rights workings. With PM Blair the mega concept to give 'Africa the Super High Way Broadband connectivity the role and function of that program and events in Mauritius and the region. The very concept to change the OAU to African Union the core role we played getting President Qaddafi involved the disparity between the Rights/Human Rights of the EU Institutions then and Africa - President FA Rene just could not care less. From 1986/97 the respective role and impute of Mauritius and some of its important politician and institutions in that SIROP program implementation and change in Seychelles and the Indian ocean and the world. The mighty USA prospective, the USSR and the COMECON, the Warsaw pact , the Vatican. the changing process. To make the issues more difficult then very grave issues of the US/USSR Nuclear standoff, the program was at the core of helping to avoid a third world war and the Nuclear disarmament this not what the media say, the politician the UN and many others. Right across Africa, the Middle east, Latin america, Asia and former East Europe that program impacts and workings, in the very many complex field of Human Rights. Introducing Human Rights work in those former Communist countries including Seychelles, Madagascar, Zanzibar other Indian ocean Nation. In view of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Seychelles our request, call for help to the UN, the EU their resource to help assist with the Judicial resource, capacity to address that Truth Commission in Seychelles including such leading law firms in Mauritius as Despeville Associates, Sauzier Chambers, and Glover Firm of Lawyers in particular Dr N Ramgoolam link to that firm and our respective issues. Copy to the Justice System of Mauritius and African Union. Because in Seychelles the lawyers, the Justice lack the capacity understand, dimension - so to help us address the Truth Communion and its appointed officials. We made similar request to the European government, their Legal Association and Bodies these in writing and copies circulated to the many relevant parties and officials. We are aware you do not specialize in the field of Refugees and exile, the Diaspora the the importance and enormity of the topic/problematic. Those refugees and exiles who have return to Seychelles their plights and Rights. The Lawyers representing our interests in Seychelles are Pardiwala,Towmey, Lablach, beside the leading Law firm of Philippe Boulle and that of former Judge of Appeal Mr Jacques Hodoul. There are several leading law firms we have work with /represented us in Britain, the chamber of Judge Ben Chataway where Mrs Amal Cloony work today, In /France. What about this program role in the Irish Peace process and all those involved and then what was written as facts and history. The Human Rights working in Ireland, the Human Right in the Catholic Church. From President FA Rene side his government and former President Sir James Mancham the vast amount of issues never published made public affecting Human rights work not Just in Seychelles the Region and world.

Yours Sincerely

Mitchel J Edmond
