Clinton Skips Events to Spend More Time with Her Family

Hillary Rodham Clinton scratched another midterm event off her itinerary to spend time with her granddaughter.

Mrs. Clinton will not attend a fund-raiser Tuesday night for Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown, a Democrat who is running to become governor of Maryland. Former President Bill Clinton will attend the event in Potomac, Md., instead, according to The Baltimore Sun.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Clinton have cut back on their public schedules since the birth on Friday night of Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, the first child of Chelsea Clinton and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky.

Mrs. Clinton also canceled an address to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and a fund-raiser for State Senator Lou D’Allesandro of New Hampshire, both scheduled for Tuesday in Washington.
