Following the passing of former Vice-President, Joseph Belmont, President Wavel Ramkalawan has sent a message of condolences to the wife and family of Mr. Belmont.
“Vice-President Belmont was a true servant of Seychelles He served in many important positions, always putting the country before self. Starting from humble beginnings at Anse Boileau, he demonstrated that perseverance through hard work and discipline, while maintaining the highest standards were important elements in achieving one's dreams. His work ethics should serve as an example to our youth.
He served his country diligently, always with a great sense of calmness. He showed respect and in return he received the respect of everyone. Seychelles has lost an exemplary child. He will be remembered for his contribution in the development of the country.
On behalf of the people of Seychelles and in my personal name, I wish to convey our sincere condolences to his wife and family. May God grant them courage during this time of their great loss” said President Ramkalawan.

TODAY learned of the passing of former Vice President, Joseph Belmont.
Joseph Belmont, born in June 1947 was a Seychellois politician who was the Vice President of Seychelles from July 2004 until his retirement in June 2010. He took office after President France-Albert René stepped down and the previous Vice-President, James Michel, replaced René as President.

When Lady Thatcher was in Office the controversies - cooking best method and practice ( the House of Commons and Lords) - the instances we referred to her person the cooking of Toulouse Lautrec. she did not like it, yet.
This Friday events in Seychelles loosing of our bravest female exile, fighter personality, the Old PWD and Seychelles Water works and Minister Belmont his expertise in agriculture, those leading Seychellois and British expertise, specialist and the many issues we worked with him in office the Belmont business centre in Kent.
We are not being very awkward, this British Nation lack of proper education and those who would say civilization in bracket.
Not our flying fox - our hedgehog Civet - not curry is very unpalatable, not tasty this Friday 28/1/22

The Families who started that venture, the Agriculture/Farmers issues with that property and close by. Then Minister Belmont in Office, Close by a small private airfield, a large business rental Unit and container units for renting - a property we had attempted to purchase. Linked with that SIROP program. Now we have the mega mess with that $50 millions UAE donation, 2002. Very many families and business people have known the going on in Seychelles how.
Seychelles could have been very different, greed and dishonesty.

Mr. Joseph Belmont who sadly passed away on January 28th 2022 at the age of 74, was known by many for his exemplary devotion and commitment to the public services of Seychelles.

A number of Kent Farmers knew of the issues and Minister Belmont, the issues of Prince Charles, Princess Diana and the Duchess of Cornwall, failed political change, the numerous of Kew Garden issues and exile life, SIROP program and the TRNUC) His adopted children Phillipe and Elizabeth.
