. Registration deadline extended to May 27 for small businesses
Seychelles will be this year celebrating 40 years of independence. To mark such a milestone, the public is expecting activities to be at a higher level compared to past National Day commemorations.
Mr VielleOrganisers of the National Show have promised that they will be up to the task. The show will go on from 26-29 at the National Sports Council (NSC) Hall.
With an expected record involvement this year, the show’s organiser Michel Vielle has promised new companies with new products of attractive and good quality, though keeping them as surprises for the moment.
“We must not forget that this year we are celebrating 40 years of independence and many people associate themselves with the event as a source of pride,” Mr Vielle has commented.
He has also announced that registration deadline for businesses willing to occupy the open air area outside the hall has been extended to May 27, 2016. The space can accommodate up to 200 businesses which can include assorted vendors of clothes, toys, beverages, food etc.
This year, the organising sub-committee has also reserved more space for this business category at the Beach Soccer Arena, which will also serve as the main entertainment centre.
Even if the deadline has been extended, Mr Vielle has wished vendors that “the earlier they come the better”. As he says, if there can be enough space, this is not unlimited. In this regard, he adds that everyone has to take his or her responsibility and respect the conditions, especially in terms of space which has to be shared by everyone.
As usual, the bigger businesses for which the registration deadline was April 29, they will be placed inside the hall. The organisers are now determining the number of partitions needed for those going from IT providers to car dealers, before the show plan can be drawn and the contractor moved on site to start structural works. Seventy such organisations have already registered among them non-governmental organisations, craftsmen, telecom companies, TV broadcasters,
Apart for the stands, companies and other organisations are being invited to buy advertising space. As, if they will be able to advertise for free at their particular stand, they will have to buy extra advertising space for elsewhere at the show.
For public comfort, the organisers have promised adequate security measures, arrangements for vehicular as well as pedestrian circulation at the show.
