COVID-19 update

-5 new COVID-19 related deaths are being reported since the last update.
-They all had underlying medical conditions and were aged between 71 and 94 years old.
-While the downward trend continues gradually, the level of community transmission is yet to reach the pre-surge level.

Main points reported at Health Press Conference for those who missed it: (Projector was not operational)
- 17 fully vaccinated people have now passed away in Seychelles ( Many of these, but not all had other conditions
- 81 were NOT vaccinated. ( This shows that the vaccine is working though antibodies may be weakening as for a very long time no one vaccinated had reportedly died)
- In positive news only 5 patients are currently at the Family hospital, one of which is on a ventilator.
- Community transmission still remains consistent but stable.
- There are currently 464 active cases but possibly many more asymptomatic in the community.
- It's another long weekend.....
